Region

Located along 43 miles of Southern California coastline, Ventura County is situated between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties. Early Spanish settlers described it as the “land of everlasting summers” or San Buenaventura, which means good fortune. Covering 1,873 square miles, Ventura County has a population of about 844,000. Industrial Space Ventura County

Ventura County is home to a broad range of Industrial Space options. From warehouses, light manufacturing buildings, research and development and factory/office multi-use building, Ventura County leased nearly 500,000 square feet of industrial space in the second quarter of 2017. (NAI Capital Research) Ventura County and its cities understand the importance of opening a business promptly, whether a new location, expanding an existing business or relocating.  The region also offers several “one-stop” resources to help expedite the construction processes for industrial and commercial facilities.

Transportation

U.S. 101 offers Ventura County access to Los Angeles and San Francisco. In the east, Highway 118 connects to the San Fernando Valley, and Highway 126 links to Interstate 5. Metrolink and Amtrak serve commuters from six stations in the region. The Port of Hueneme is a deep water “break-bulk” facility, providing Ventura County with port of entry and foreign trade zone status.

Open Space

At the northern end of the county, the Los Padres National Forest comprises 46% of the region’s land mass. An abundance of agriculture, a healthy billion-dollar industry, contributes to an overall pastoral ambience. As the gateway to Channel Islands National Park, Ventura County also extends its open space to this 250,000-acre wilderness preserve and marine sanctuary.
